Not really… But if you didn’t know me you might think I was if you only knew my name.

Just before writing this post I was googling my name (not Eddie!) and found links to several guys back in history who were obviously famous in their time, and for some of them it wasn’t that long ago either. Some would seemed to have been quite important people back in the day when having a name that everybody recognized actually meant something.

I have always wondered what it would like to be famous and if I was being honest I guess I would also have liked to have been that famous person just for a day ro too and just to experience what it would really be like. Of course I would not want it to be a permanent situation as I value my privacy and quiet time too much to want to be in the public eye in any way which I can not totally control myself.

Being famous is ok I guess for those that really crave it but I have seen what it has done to so many over the years and to be honest I do not think it is all that it some would have you believe it to be.

In fact I did have a friend who got famous just after college as he was great at football and in the end it was the fame that ruined him. He just couldn’t handle all that attention all the time, although when it first started he just loved it. In the end I think there were just too many demands on his time that his private life suffered and his life became less and less private. I guess he just did not have the right people looking out for him and looking after his personal well being in the way that they should.

So I guess I’ll just take a miss on that being famous thing, although looking back at these historical guys with the same name as me it seems that their lives were very interesting, but then again who really knows? What you read in google really doesn’t tell you that much as it is just a brief summary of the very best, and most famous, parts of their lives and who can tell how bad or good the rest of their lives were.

Guess I am just happy being me!

Eddie Famous Friends

No it’s not me, but my brother Frank, and this time it’s serious it seems. Well he’s now in a hospital and for me that that has to be pretty serious!

I did talk to him on the phone today, after his wife called this morning to tell us the news that he had to go in last night for test as he was just feeling so bad.

And to be honest he didn’t actually sound that bad and he really seemed like he was having fun and claimed he did not know what all the fuss was about.

However I expect that he knows only too well what the doctors are worried about as he has been in for test before. Fortunately that time, which was only about 9 months ago, he proved to be ok and was out and back home again in just a couple of days, despite the fact that it was a real scare for his wife and family, me included.

This time it does seem that serious, probably because it has happened to him before, and also because he know what to expect as he has been through it all before. However, for me, the fact that he has had to go in again so soon is a worry, though of course I would not ever let him know that I think that way.

So hopefully he will be back home as quick as last time as I really don’t want this to become a serious issue. He was always pretty sick as a kid and even as an adult he has not always had great health. He has never seemed as strong as the rest of us and I guess you can put that down to his weakness as a child. He has always had allergies to too which the rest of us never got and this must have probably effected him badly through the whole of his life.

When someone else you know well gets sick like this, even though we don’t know exactly what the problem is yet, it puts your own life and your own problems into perspective quite sharply. Now my so called diet plan seems of very little significance, though I expect that as soon as Frank is better again it will be right back on the agenda. Lets just hope that that is really soon!

Just got a call from my internet marketing friend Jack, who told me if I want to start making some some money from this web stuff then I should consider building a website to sell stuff. I am not really technical and often need help with this blog. But Jack says the niche blueprint software that he’s got is just so easy to use that even I could do it. Thanks Jack!! So I guess I’ll take a look at it and see what it’s all about. Jack says it uses drop shipping - that’s a weird name and I don’t have a clue what it is. Anyways if I get to make some money out of it then that would be great.

His phone call certainly cheered me up!
